About a week has passed since the Rick murder. Cheryl has been even more attentive to me. Not in a physical sense, but mentally. She would lose her job if they tried to hurt me anymore.
“Good morning, Spike. Did you sleep well?” I nodded, then yawned. That made Cheryl giggle.
“It’s a beautiful day, but I have to talk to you.” I looked at her, confused.
“Spike, the police want to talk to you. They want to take you to the station, but the doctor will not allow it. So they will do it here. Can you talk to them?” Cheryl’s expression was so tender.
“No,” I said in a low tone.
“I didn’t think so. Spike, I can’t stop them from taking you to the station. They may hold you as a suspect, but I can’t see how.” Cheryl sighed heavily, then sat next to me.
The doctor came in with a man in a dark suit. I could tell by the smell that he was a copper. He and the doctor stood in front of Cheryl and me.
“You can leave, nurse.” The copper instructed her.
“I won’t,” Cheryl responded defiantly.
“We don’t need you here.” He insisted.
“Suit yourself, big shot.” Cheryl left the room.
“Mr. Larkin. Did you know the deceased, Rickard Fellows?” The inspector asked.
I just sat on the bed and stared at the floor.
“Mr. Larkin. I need you to answer my questions. If you don’t answer them here, I will be forced to haul you to the station and put you in a cell until you answer.” Cheryl burst into the room.
“You son of a bitch, you will only take Mr. Larkin from this room over my dead body. Can’t you see the man is in a mental crisis? Are you that fucking blind?” Cheryl screamed at him.
The doctor stepped in. “Miss Nations, you are way out of line. This could cost you your job.”
“And I can arrest you for obstruction of justice, little lady.” The inspector threatened.
Cheryl looked at me. Stood in front of me, then offered her arms to the cop.
“Listen, doc, one way or another, I need Mr. Larkin’s statement.
“I know, Lieutenant. Let me talk to Miss Nations. Maybe we can come up with a solution.”
The cop left, the doctor looked at Cheryl and me, sighed heavily, then turned and walked out of the room.
“Spike, how can I get you to talk to them?” Cheryl’s question was inevitable, so her voice was soft.
“Martin,” I said.
“Martin? Huh, you’ve never mentioned him. He’s not a friend, not a co-worker. Who?” I was shaking my head.
“Spike! Is, is Martin your lawyer?” I smiled.
“Spike, would you answer their questions if Martin were present and in front of a Judge. No lawyers, just Martin and a Judge?” I nodded, then looked at the floor.
“You know, she is going to be there, don’t you?” I nodded, still looking at the floor.
“Can I tell the doctor?” I nodded. I lay down, and Cheryl covered me.
The following Tuesday, Cheryl came into my room early. I knew today was the day. She took out my street clothes and helped me change.
I wondered how it would feel to have her in my arms, naked. She has a beautiful figure, her breasts are nice and firm, I’m sure. It would be wonderful, holding her little ass cheeks and pressing against me, making me hard.
I would lie her gently on the bed, then ease myself on top of her. She would close her eyes as we kissed. Then she would open her legs, and I would slip into her love sleeve. We would embrace, I would feel her naked body next to mine.
Every so slowly, I would make her cum. She would moan and breathe heavily. She would softly call my name as she started to orgasm. I would wait until her warm cum flowed over me, then I could stroke her and fill her with my love. I wouldn’t pull away from her. I would stay inside her and hold her.
When I was in my briefs, she looked at my crotch, then smiled at me. “You are handsome, Spike.” I smiled back at her.
Are you thinking of me?” Cheryl blushed at the question. I nodded.
They brought a car for Cheryl and me. The doctor and a male nurse came along, according to hospital rules. Supposedly.
They took me to the courthouse and up to a Judge’s chambers. The whore was there. Martin was representing both of us. The Judge allowed it due to my mental instability.
The Judge began.
“This is quite an unusual situation. Both of you at one time or another knew the deceased.”
“She fuck him,” I said out loud. The Judge reprimanded me. Cheryl sternly told me to behave. Her eyes were gentle.
“Doctor, to the best of your knowledge, was Mr. Larkin, at any time, away from the premises?”
“No, sir. There is constant supervision.” The doctor answered.
“Okay. Now, we have used a warrant to check both Mr. and Mrs. Larkin’s phones. There had been no communication with the deceased on Mr. Larkin’s phone in over a year.
On the other hand, Mrs. Larkin, you and the deceased have had many conversations, including two days before the deceased was found. There are several calls that were lengthy. Can you explain those many calls?”
“I have been telling Rick, I mean the deceased, to leave me alone. I didn’t want anything to do with him. I begged him, I cried over the phone, pleading he leave me alone. He kept calling. I ruined my marriage and my husband because of one stupid, foolish act. I hate myself.” She started to cry.
“Mr. Larkin, why did you stand in the flower bed?” The Judge asked.
I just stared at the floor. Cheryl tapped my hand.
“Why did you, Spike? Why did you stand in the flower bed?” I looked at her, shook my head a few times, then looked at the floor again.
“He doesn’t know why he did it, your Honor,” Cheryl responded.
The Judge took some notes, then continued.
“We have a warrant. At this moment, we are inspecting Mr. Larkin’s room. I am waiting for the uniformed officers to report to me while we are still together.”
Cheryl felt me tighten a little. I looked at her. She smiled to encourage me. I find myself wanting to hold her. That’s so wrong of me.
The Judge pulled me from my reverie.
“Mr. Larkin! Are you listening? DO YOU HEAR ME NOW?” Judgy wudgy wasn’t happy.
Cheryl tapped my hand. I turned to her. “Did you hear the Judge, Spike?”
I closed my eyes and turned away from her.
“Your Honor, he did not hear you. Our apologies, sir.” Cheryl’s voice was very humble.
“What about these divorce papers. How did you come by these, Mrs. Larkin?”
“I was going through some of his belongings. As far as I can tell, all he had when he left the last time was the clothes on his back. I found that in the bottom drawer. It was under things that Spike hasn’t worn in years.
“Mr. Larkin, did you have these divorce papers written up?” The Judge asked in a very stern voice.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Cheryl look at me. I turned to face her. Her angelic face was crushing my heart. I blinked twice, and she nodded that she understood.
“He did, sir.” She sighed as all of the air went out of her.
“Mr. Cullen. When did Mr. Larkin have these documents drawn up?”
“Your Honor, Mr. Larkin had me draw up the papers on the day the signed document. I don’t remember the exact date, um, late in March, I believe. He told me why he wanted to divorce his wife. He cried the entire time we drew up the papers, sir.”
Laura broke down in tears. My poor lawyer was caught in a tough situation. He has to show no favoritism, but Laura was on her own. He did tend to her, while I was laughing inside.
“Mr. Larkin, do you intend to go through with the divorce?” The Judge asked.
I looked at Cheryl and nodded my head several times.
“He does, your Honor.” The Judge was exasperated.
“Now, what about this account for seventy-six thousand dollars. There is only one name on it, Mr. Larkins. Also, there is no provision in the divorce for the account. Do you know what Mr. Larkin was intending to do with this Mr. Cullen?”
“Sir, I have no idea. I didn’t know the account existed until just now.” Cullen responded.
“The investigators found it during their inquiries. So, I suggest that we -,” I interrupted the Judge.
I stood up and said in a firm tone, “Her.” I pointed to Cheryl.
Laura stood up screaming, “Like hell she gets his money. I’m his wife, and it belongs to me.” She was screaming and crying. Poor Cullen. Stuck in the middle again.
“MRS. LARKIN, SIT DOWN, NOW.” The Judge yelled at her. I squeezed Cheryl’s soft hand.
“Mr. Larkin, are you saying that you want Miss Nations to receive the money?”
I stood up, nodding my head like my neck was going to break. I turned to Laura, “Fuck Rick, Kill Me.” Then I sat down immediately. The Judge looked at Cheryl.
“Is he in love with you. Are you in a relationship with Mr. Larkin, Miss Nations?”
“I am not, your Honor,” Cheryl answered calmly. Not me.
“Good woman, not like whore,” I pointed to Laura. “No touch, bastard.” The Judge went sideways.
“Mr. Larkin, I am going to hold you in contempt with one more outburst against Mrs. Larkin or this Court. Do you understand me?” The Judge was almost standing, and he was screaming. I just stared at him.
Cullen stood up, “Your Honor, is it your intention to rule on any complicity Mr. Larkin has in the incident with Mr. Fellows, and the request for dissolution of the marriage?”
“NO,” Laura screamed. “I won’t agree to the divorce. I’ll contest it to the highest court that I can.” She sat down hard in the chair, weeping uncontrollably.
“Mr. Cullen, I am not going to rule on the dissolution of marriage at this time. I would prefer you submit the case to a family court. This is a trial court, as you know.
I will say this: I see absolutely no connection between Mr. Larkin and Mr. Fellows’ demise. They may have been friends in the past, but circumstances have dissolved that friendship.
Having said that, I can only rule that the account, for seventy-six thousand dollars, be put in a trust until it can be investigated further. That is the ruling of this court. This court is dismissed.”
We stood up as the Judge left.
“I should go with her, Spike.” Cullen tried to explain his bad situation. He looked at me. I nodded once, then turned to leave. Cheryl looked at Laura for a moment and then followed me out of the courtroom.
Back in my room, I was changing into my “prison” outfit. Cheryl hung my street clothes up while I put on my hospital pajamas. When I was down to my briefs, she turned to look at me.
“You are very handsome, Spike. Laura was a fool for betraying you. I will never betray you.” I wanted to undress Cheryl and hold her.
I wanted her to feel my growing cock against her. The expression on her face seemed to want the same thing.
“I’m glad you’re getting better, Spike. The way you’re making progress, you will be released in a matter of months. Then you will go away.” Her face turned sad.
“You, too.” I just stared at her. Cheryl showed a small smile.
Soon, I will be able to smile at you anyway I want, Spike.” I finished dressing.
